T.J. Michael Looks Forward to First Full Weekend of Action in Ohio
Attica Raceway Park and Atomic Speedway Next on the Schedule

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

FREMONT, Oh. (March 17, 2016) – After making multiple starts in Florida and Texas with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions and World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael will now turn his focus toward competition in the “Buckeye State.”

Michael, a Plano, Texas, native who spends his summer months stationed in Fremont, Ohio, for the sole purpose of open wheel racing, will kick-off his 2016 Ohio campaign with back-to-back nights of 410 sprint car competition. Action will ignite on Friday night, March 25, at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio; the first program of the season at the home of “Ohio’s Finest Racing.”

“Looking forward to getting back in the seat” Michael explained, “We were busy for a while during the month of February, but things have slowed down since. We’ll be busy again here very soon. I can’t thank everyone who helps this team enough. We’ve been all over the map so far this year, so I’m thankful to have great people and great supporters on board to make all of that happen. We’ll head to Attica next Friday with a great attitude.”

T.J. Michael’s upcoming doubleheader weekend will continue on Saturday, March 26, at the Atomic Speedway near Chillicothe. The “Texas Traveler” will join the Ohio Sprint Car Series for their season opening program, awarding a solid $2,500 top prize. It will be Michael’s first ever attempt at taming the Atomic Speedway highbanks.

“Really excited to visit Atomic Speedway next Saturday” Michael explained, “We had a few opportunities to visit there last year, but just didn’t get a chance to pull the trigger. Hopefully Attica goes well on Friday night and we can travel to Atomic with some momentum. We are all really excited to get the season swinging again.”

T.J. Michael, a three-time winner during 305 sprint car competition in 2015, will work for a first ever 410 win during his upcoming Ohio debut. The pilot of the Michael Motorsports, Fremont Fence Company, Advanced Cast Stone, Kear’s Speed Shop, Shell Shock, Hinchman Suits, No. 8M finished second during feature action at Wayne County Speedway near Orrville, Oh., last season; a career high 410 result thus far.

“We’ve been close!” T.J. Michael said, “We’ve been improving. I think making all of those starts in February will help us. We have a jump on the year. Hopefully we can put ourselves in a good position next weekend and work for a win.”
