FREMONT, Ohio (July 11, 2016) – The “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael will enter two, high profiles events during the next five days, joining the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series on both occasions, each in the state of Ohio. Michael, pilot of the Advanced Cast Stone/Fremont Fence Company/Kear’s Speed Shop/Shell Shock/Hinchman Suits/Snap-On/Kistler Racing Engines/Maxim Race Cars/No. 8M, will launch his week in the Buckeye State with the Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park on Tuesday, July 12, followed by a potential visit to Eldora Speedway on July 16 for the 33rd annual Kings Royal worth $50,000. It will be a first ever Kings Royal start for T.J. Michael.
“It will be a busy week, but we are excited for it,” Michael said. “These are huge events and we’re fortunate enough to have the opportunity to enter them. With our shop in Fremont, we’ll have time to go home and regroup a little bit after the Doty before heading south to Eldora Speedway. We are really excited about this. We’ll see what we can do!”
The Plano, Texas, native, who now resides in Fremont, Ohio, will enter his busy stretch with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series with one recent main event start to his credit. Michael joined the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions for the eighth annual Lou Blaney Memorial at Sharon Speedway on Saturday, July 9. The Arctic Cat All Star rookie contender finished 15th during the $10,000-to-win main event, climbing ahead from row 11. Michael qualified 14th out of 39 entries.
“It wasn’t a bad weekend. We just had some trouble capitalizing on our qualifying time,” Michael explained. “We have a long season ahead of us. We’ll work as hard as we can this weekend and try to surprise some people. I have a lot of great supporters and a hard working race team. We have a lot of potential.”
