The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will head to Alabama this Saturday, October 22nd, for a visit to the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama, for the Talladega Sage Fruit Showdown. Jason Meyers will venture south in hopes of finding his sixth consecutive victory with the series in 2011, and continuing his fascinating win streak; which started back in late September at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Meyers has nine (9) wins, total, on the season- which ties him with Steve Kinser and Craig Dollansky for having the most on the tour this year. Donny Schatz, Steve Kinser, Paul McMahan, and Craig Dollanksy, round out the top five in the current championship standings.
Talladega will offer one night of competition for the “Greatest Show on Dirt;” paying the winner of the event $10,000. After the trip to Alabama is concluded, there will only be three more nights of competition for the series in 2011; which will all be contested at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.
