The Grove and Port Royal Dream Race Next for Zearfoss
2015 Dream Race Offers Near $80,000 Purse

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

Jonestown, PA (August 4, 2015) – One of the most highly anticipated events on the central Pennsylvania circuit is set to take shape this Saturday evening, August 8, at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. The annual “Living Legends Dream Race,” featuring a purse reaching nearly $80,000, will be the headline event at the Port Royal “Speed Palace,” with all of central Pennsylvania’s finest expected to attend. Brock Zearfoss, a regular competitor at Port Royal Speedway, will return to the half-mile this Saturday night with the intent to take home a large portion of the near six-digit payout. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania native finished 12th at Port Royal last Saturday night, August 1, after starting 19th.

“Definitely one of the biggest races of the year on our schedule” said Zearfoss, “We’ve been looking forward to this event since the early parts of the season. Port Royal really fits our style and we love racing there. Hopefully we can get there and start the evening right. We’ve had some solid finishes (Port Royal) this year. We’ll use what we’ve learned and try to work our way up front.”

Zearfoss will kick off the upcoming weekend with a trip to the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday night, August 7. Like Port Royal Speedway, the “Jonestown Jet” has been a regular competitor at “The Grove” in 2015. The pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar and Grill, Central Builders Supply, Leach’s Automotive Service, Meckley’s Limestone, #3Z has finished as high as third at Williams Grove Speedway in 2015 and was in the hunt for a top-ten finish once again on Friday, July 31, until bad luck struck. A rear wheel became impacted with mud forcing the #3Z to be sidelined after 15 laps of feature action.

“Just a frustrating deal” said Zearfoss, “We were running pretty well on Friday night…racing 10th after starting 14th and then our wheel got stuff with mud. The vibration was pretty severe so I came in to try and have it removed. Unfortunately, we took too long. Regardless, we had a good car and things were going well. Something like that you can’t control. We’ll try again this Friday.”
