The NDRL would also like to announce a partnership with Jim Steigerwald and the Racers for Tots organization. Racers for Tots works in conjunction with the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Foundation to provide and distribute donated toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children within the community. Many race fans are familiar with Racers for Tots and their annual Rocket Chassis raffle that with just a $10 donation to Racers for Tots, you’re entered in a drawing to win a complete Rocket Chassis, ready to race, minus engine and transmission. In 2012, over $82,000 in donations and toys were raised making 2012 the biggest year in their 13 year history.

NDRL’s involvement with Racers for Tots, the NDRL will offer a free Fan Pit Pass at both Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex and Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway to any general admission ticket holder that donates a toy ($5 minimum with receipt) to Racers for Tots. More details will be announced soon.

‘Jimmy Steigerwald and the Racers for Tots organization have been huge supporters of the NDRL since we our initial announcement back in January,’ NDRL owner John Kennedy stated. ‘Jimmy has a great love for the sport and has been involved in racing for a long time. He’s excited to be a part of what we’re trying to build and we’re excited to help out Racers for Tots by offering a free fan pit pass with a toy donation. If we can help Racers for Tots reach their fundraising and donation goals, that’s what we want to do. It’s a great cause and we support everything Jimmy, Dave Kohler and the entire Racers for Tots organization do.’
