Trevor Baker scores top-ten during Thunder Mountain visit; Lernerville, Wayne County ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

SHREVE, Ohio (July 23, 2018) –  Resulting in a much needed momentum boost, Trevor Baker’s decision to travel east to Thunder Mountain Speedway near Brookville, Pa., on Friday, July 20, proved to be well worth the time and distance, ultimately cracking into the top-ten column for the first time in 2018.

Baker, driver of the T-Rev Performance/Baker’s Mobile Home Transport/Exodus Cycle/Coblentz Trucking/H&S Concrete/No. 45 sprint car, finished eighth, officially, during his visit to Thunder Mountain, the result of a hard charge from the outside of row seven. The Shreve, Ohio, native qualified for main event competition by finishing fourth during his respective heat race. There were 34 cars entered for the $3,000-to-win event.

“That was a lot of fun, for sure. We’ve been having an up and down year, so to speak, so this was a nice change of pace for our team,” Trevor Baker said. “We’ve been in contention a few times this year, but we haven’t quite been able to put it all together. I’m very proud of my team and their hard work. We have a lot of potential. I’m excited to get back to the track this weekend.”

Other recent starts for Baker include making the trip to Lernerville Speedway on Tuesday, July 17, for the annual Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup featuring the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. Unfortunately for Baker, his night with the Greatest Show On Dirt ended in the Last Chance Showdown; not qualifying for the evening’s $25,000-to-win main event.

Trevor Baker will continue his 2018 campaign with a pair of starts in Western Pennsylvania and Ohio, first visiting Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., for Fab Four weekly competition on Friday night, July 27. Baker’s weekend double will continue on Saturday evening, July 28, with a short trip to Wayne County Speedway near Orrville, Ohio. Baker is a former main event winner at “Orrville’s Historic Oval;” his first-ever victory in a 410ci winged sprint car.
