JM2 Motorsports Will Visit McKean County and Sharon Speedway This Thursday and Saturday!

Ringgold, PA (August 13th, 2013) – Joe Martin and Joe Martin Motorsports (JM2 Motorsports) will be back in action this Thursday and Saturday, August 15th & 17th; taking part in two (2) Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series events across Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. The Ringgold, Pennsylvania based operation will follow the Sweeney RUSH Touring Series to the NDRL’s McKean County Raceway near East Smethport, Pennsylvania on Thursday evening, August 15th; followed by a Sharon Speedway appearance in Hartford, Ohio on Saturday, August 17th. Both crate late model events will award at least $1,200 to the winner; as well as full points towards the 2013 Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series championship.

Joe Martin, who pilots the JM2 Motorsports, Allegheny Crane Rental, The George Washington Hotel, Spartan Thru Tubing, Extreme Plastics Plus, no. 55 crate late model, will kick-off the upcoming weekend with Sweeney RUSH Touring Series action at the NDRL’s McKean County Raceway near East Smethport, Pennsylvania on Thursday evening, August 15th. The $1,200-to-win RUSH Touring Series event will take place during the McKean County Fair; which is celebrating it’s 108th year in operation. Martin has visited the East Smethport oval on a few occasions already in 2013; with his best result equaling a runner-up finish on Thursday, July 11th.

The JM2 Motorsports ‘55’ team will resume RUSH Touring Series action on Saturday evening, August 17th at the Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio. The Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series, which will share the center stage on Saturday evening with the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (B.O.S.S.) non-wing sprint cars, will be visiting the Sharon 3/8’s mile dirt oval on Saturday evening; hosting the ‘Gary Knollinger Memorial’ worth $2,000 to the winner. Joe Martin is a former FASTRAK crate late model winner at the state-of-the-art facility, but has yet to earn a RUSH sanctioned win at the speedway. Joe Martin’s best finish at the Sharon Speedway in 2013 equaled a runner-up finish back in late May; taking place during a $1,500-to-win RUSH sanctioned event.

Joe Martin will enter the Pennsylvania/Ohio RUSH weekend third (3rd) in the current Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series driver standings; on the strength of eight (8) top-ten finishes.For more updated information pertaining to these two (2) upcoming Sweeney RUSH Touring Series events, please visit the series online at www.rushracingseries.com.

Thus far in 2013, Joe Martin and JM2 Motorsports have entered a total of twenty-five (25) crate late model events. The ‘55’ team has earned an incredible twenty (20) top-ten finishes, including fifteen (15) top-five finishes, during those twenty-five (25) starts. Better known as ‘Business,’ Joe Martin owns one (1) victory during crate late model competition thus far in 2013; with that being earned at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania.
