FOREST, Ohio (April 18, 2022) – Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports were right back at it during the recent weekend, this time joining the USAC National Sprint Cars for a one-day visit to Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, on Saturday, April 16.
Certainly no stranger to the highbanks of southern Ohio, Westfall, a former Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) feature winner at Atomic, put together a respectable evening against some of the nation’s finest non-wing competitors and finished 11th during main event competition, kicking off preliminary action with the eighth-fastest qualifying time overall, securing his place in evening’s feature with a runner-up performance during his respective heat race.
“It was a good night for our team. I think we were capable of earning a top-ten, but we’ll take this and move forward,” Matt Westfall explained, defending BOSS Series champion and driver of Ray Marshall’s Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc, Hempy Water, DPI Ink, “Bumblebee Express” entry. “I can’t say enough about Ray Marshall and this entire team. It’s his passion that allows us to go out and perform. Our plan is to head to Montpelier this weekend and get a BOSS win.”

Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will continue their 2022 campaign with a Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) start at Montpelier Motor Speedway in Montpelier, Indiana, on Saturday, April 23. Westfall was a one-time BOSS winner during his 2021 campaign, which occurred at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on July 24.
