FOREST, Ohio (April 15, 2024) – It was a challenging night in the Hoosier State for Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports, but despite the team’s overall outcome being less than a top-ten, there were plenty of positives to document, eventually concluding Lawrenceburg Speedway’s Justin Owen Memorial with a 13th-place finish, commencing the 30-lapper from the exact same position.
Westfall, ace of Ray Marshall’s Buckeye Machine Fabricators Inc, Hempy Water, DPI Ink, Wix Filters, Rod End Supply, Allstar Performance, No. 33M non-wing sprinter, kicked off the USAC National Sprint Cars program with the 13th-fastest qualifying time of 23 entries, racing on to finish fourth in his respective heat race.
Certainly no stranger to USAC competition, Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports are recent winners with the nation’s best non-wing aces, notching a $10,000 payday at Texarkana 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas, on Saturday, September 9.
“It was a so-so night for us, but we were able to take some good notes, so we’ll take that as a home run and roll with it,” Westfall added. “I gotta thank Ray Marshall and the entire team for their hard work and dedication. It’s never easy racing with USAC. Those guys are always good, so we have to be better. We’ll be ready for Eldora.”

Ray Marshall Motorsports and Matt Westfall Racing will continue their 2024 USAC National Sprint Cars campaign with a two-day visit to Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on Friday and Saturday, May 3-4. Dubbed #LetsRaceTwo weekend, the two-day program will be accompanied by the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.
