FOREST, Ohio (August 4, 2020) – Despite being plagued with wet weather during the final few rounds, Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports put together a sound performance during the 2020 edition of USAC Indiana Sprint Week and recorded a top-ten performance during the opening round at Gas City on July 24; the end result of an impressive rally from row eight.

Despite Westfall’s result at Gas City being his only top-ten during the first four rounds of USAC Indiana Sprint Week, the driver of the familiar No. 33M sprinter put on a passing display, following-up his Gas City outcome with a charge from 21st to 14th at Lawrenceburg, and another rally from 20th to 16th at Terre Haute.

“I’m proud of everyone’s efforts,” Ray Marshall stated, owner of the Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M non-wing sprint car. “Indiana Sprint Week is a very competitive week and it attracts some of the best racers in the country. All we can do is learn from our results and move forward. We still have a lot left on our plate. I’m confident a few more wins are just around the corner.”

“It doesn’t get much more competitive than that,” Matt Westfall continued. “Putting yourself in a hole is not the ideal things to do, especially during USAC action, but lucky for me, Ray (Marshall) provides our team with great equipment and the potential to great results.”

Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will continue their 2020 campaign with another round of Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) competition at Fremont Speedway on Saturday, August 8.
