FOREST, Ohio (August 15, 2022) – A pair of weekend starts resulted in two victories for Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports, simultaneously doubling their season’s win tally with triumphs at Gas City I-69 Speedway and Fremont Speedway on Friday and Saturday, August 12-13, respectively. Impressive enough, Westfall’s victory at Fremont Speedway occurred during Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) competition, bumping his BOSS win total to three on the year, his second in the Buckeye State.

Westfall, the ace of Ray Marshall’s Buckeye Machine Fabricators Inc./Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M sprint car, opened his weekend with a bang at Gas City, battling hard with Evan Mosley and Tye Mihocko before taking command for the second and final time on lap eight of 25. Mosley led the opening lap before Westfall took over on laps two and three. Mihocko drove around Westfall on lap four, but the Pleasant Hill, Ohio, native kept pace and reclaimed command on lap eight.

The BOSS triumph on Saturday commenced from the inside of row three.

“It was a great weekend for our team. Hats off to Ray Marshall and everyone involved. We’ve been all over the map so far this season and I think the track time has only proved to be a benefit,” Westfall said. “We’re going to work hard to keep this momentum going and hopefully put on a great run with USAC at Kokomo’s Smackdown.”

“Congratulations to everyone,” Ray Marshall added. “To be a part of a successful weekend like this is very special and I’m confident more weekends like this are ahead.”
