Williams Grove Action Begins With Test And Tunes March 10 & March 17
Sprint Season Opener March 22
Mechanicsburg – Williams Grove Speedway is readying for racing as the 2013 season dawns at the Cumberland County oval.
The first on-track action of the year is a test and tune session slated for the afternoon of March 10 at 1 pm with free infield access.
The test and tune will be held on March 10 for all the regular divisions that race at the track during the season including 410 and 358 sprints, super sportsman, 358 late models and street stocks.
Another test and tune is slated for 1 pm on March 17, again with free infield access.
The prestigious season opener for the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint cars is slated for Friday night, March 22 at 7:30 pm.
The 2013 season will be the fourth consecutive season that Lawrence Chevrolet, located at 6445 Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg, will be the title sponsor of the Williams Grove 410 sprint car point fund.
The Tool Shed of America 358 sprints will also be on the opening night program with pill draws used to set the heat and feature starting lineups for both divisions.
Greg Hodnett is the defending 410 sprint car track champion joined by Pat Cannon in the 358 division.
Danny Dietrich and Cannon took opening day victories in 2012.
The Williams Grove Saturday Series season opener is slated for April 20 at 6:30 pm, featuring super sportsman, 358 late models and street stocks.
