Pittsburgh, PA (May 12th, 2014) – After a busy Western Pennsylvania swing with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions during the recent weekend; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native Danny Holtgraver will return to ‘410’ sprint car competition this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 16th, 17th & 18th. The former Lernerville Speedway track champion will once again spend the upcoming weekend in the ‘Keystone State,’ but this time venturing to areas in central Pennsylvania and southwestern Pennsylvania. The upcoming weekend will include another opportunity to race head-to-head with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series, as well as make a first-ever appearance at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania.

Danny Holtgraver, who pilots the Hunter Racing, Berlin Natural Bakery, Golden Flavor Sesame Sticks, Bonnell’s Rod Shop, Alternative Power Sources, WestView Motors, DKW Transport, no. 10H sprint car, will kick off his upcoming weekend at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday evening, May 16th. The World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series will make their first ‘Grove’ appearance of the 2014 season on Friday night; highlighted with a 25-lap/$8,000-to-win main event. The ‘Pennsylvania Posse’ / WoO STP showdown will feature many of the nation’s finest sprint car aces; including WoO STP Series point leader, Joey Saldana, and recent Williams Grove Speedway ‘Outlaw Tune Up’ winner, Greg Hodnett.

Holtgraver’s weekend will continue on Saturday evening, May 17th with another appearance with ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ at Williams Grove Speedway. Saturday night’s program will feature a 30-lap/$12,000-to-win main event for the ‘410’ sprint cars; as well as the traditional ‘Morgan Cup’ event worth $5,000. Danny Holtgraver has never won a main event at the Williams Grove Speedway, nor has he ever captured a World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series main event. The full-time UNOH All Star traveler will have two opportunities to complete both of those feats during the upcoming weekend. Danny Holtgraver’s best performance at Williams Grove Speedway was a 4th place finish back in 2010 during a non-sanctioned main event.

The Hunter Racing ‘10H’ team will end their upcoming three-race weekend on Sunday evening, May 18th with a first-ever visit to the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania. A facility most known for their super late model competition will host the ‘410’ sprint cars for the first time in 2014 on Sunday evening; awarding $3,500 to the main event winner. The ‘PA Speedweek’ style program will kick off with time trials at 6:15PM. Drivers and teams from all areas of Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia are expected to be on hand; offering race fans an opportunity to witness all of the areas stars on neutral ground.

During recent action, Danny Holtgraver and Hunter Racing earned a third (3rd) place finish during UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions competition at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Friday, May 9th. Holtgraver started the 30-lap main event from the inside of the fourth row and rallied four (4) positions to finish on the podium. Unfortunately, Holtgraver was unable to repeat his podium appearance on Saturday evening, May 10th when the UNOH All Stars visited the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. A cut tire while racing inside the top five would force the Hunter Racing ‘10H’ to go pit side during feature action. Holtgraver would return to the speedway and finish 15th. The 15th place finish ended Holtgraver’s streak of six consecutive victories at the Mercer 3/8’s mile bullring.
