Williams Grove Fall Fest, Four Features Program Closes Season October 20,
Champions and top drivers to be feted during show
Mechanicsburg – Williams Grove Speedway will present the final racing program of the season on Saturday, October 20 at 7:30 pm with a Fall Fest features only program.
The four feature, four-division program will showcase the track’s marquee classes from both the Friday and Saturday night series races.
On tap will be full-length feature events for the 410 and 358 sprint cars, the super sportsman and the 358 late models.
The 410 sprints will compete in a 25-lap main event while the balance of the features will be 20-laps in distance.
The tentative order of events has the sportsman feature first on the program followed by the 358 sprints, 410 sprints and the 358 late models.
The Mechanicsburg High School cheerleading squad will be on hand to help honor season champions throughout the night.
Presentations of awards to not only the four division champions but to each division’s top drivers in points will take place on the speedway frontstretch.
Champions will be honored between feature events while the balance of the awards will be handed out at the conclusion of the night.
Champions slated to accept laurels are Greg Hodnett, 410 sprints; Pat Cannon, 358 sprints; Frankie Herr, super sportsman; and Gene Knaub, 358 late models.
There will be no heat races or other qualifying for the program due to the features only format.
The Fall Fest program will close the curtain on the 2012 Williams Grove Speedway season.
