7/28/13
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mechanicsburg – Williams Grove Speedway will present the lucrative United Racing Company 360/358 Sprint Nationals this Friday night, August 2 at 7:30 pm.

The Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint cars will be on the card along with the URC Sprints.

Both divisions will compete in full programs of qualifying heat races along with feature events.

There will be no time trials.

Bonus money and lap money will be in effect for the 410 sprints as is the case for all regular programs.

The URC Nationals will go 25 laps in distance and pay a hefty $4,000 to the winner.

Last year it was NASCAR champion Tony Stewart of Rushville, Indiana, who took the URC Nationals victory.

In recent years a host of 410 sprint regulars have chosen to compete in and win URC races at Williams Grove.

Among those have been Daryn Pittman, Lance Dewease, Mark Smith, Aaron Ott and Chad Layton.

The URC program at Williams Grove will be the first appearance of the season by the circuit at the track after suffering rainouts earlier this year.

The Williams Grove Speedway Saturday Series will be in action on August 3 featuring action with the super sportsman, 358 late models and street stocks offering $5 adult general admission.

On Friday, Timberview Veterinary Hospital and the Canine Rescue of Central PA will be on hand prior to the races with select canines to meet the fans and Saturday will be ARCH night at the track.

Williams Grove returns to action on Friday, August 9 with a program of 410 and 358 sprint cars at 7:30 pm.

Ages 12 and under will be admitted for free to all three of the programs.
