BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (June 5, 2023) – It was a hard-fought weekend on the Pennsylvania/Ohio border for Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing, continuing their 2023 calendar with a three-race Western Pennsylvania Speedweek sweep on Friday through Sunday, June 2-4.

Wilson, a former two-time All Star Circuit of Champions title winner, joined the mini-series during starts at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, on Friday, June 2, Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, on Saturday, June 3, and Tri-City Raceway Park in Franklin, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, June 3. Three nights of racing were highlighted with a top five on Saturday night at Sharon, battling tough to finish fifth after starting from the pole position. Adding some luster to his eastern Ohio result, Wilson was the last car on the lead lap, as Dave Blaney lapped most of the field before finishing the A-Main with a near-ten second margin of victory.

Wilson’s other Western Pennsylvania Speedweek results include finishing 12th at Lernerville on Friday, and 14th at Tri-City on Sunday.

“It was good to get out and compete in Western Pennsylvania Speedweek. I think we were better than fifth on Saturday at Sharon, just a few hiccups in traffic that probably cost us that potential. Regardless, it was a fun weekend and we look forward to the opportunity to do it again,” Wilson, driver of the Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics, No. W20 sprint car, said. “I want to thank my team, family, and partners for their hard work and dedication. We have a pretty big slate ahead. It’s hard to believe we are already moving into Ohio Sprint Speedweek.”

Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing will continue their 2023 campaign with the 41st edition of Ohio Sprint Speedweek on June 9-17 featuring eight events in nine days concluding with the $22,554-to-win Dean Knittel Memorial at Portsmouth Raceway Park. Speedweek action will take the All Star Circuit of Champions to Attica Raceway Park on June 9, Fremont Speedway on June 10, Wayne County Speedway on June 11-12, Sharon Speedway on June 13, Atomic Speedway on June 15, Eldora Speedway on June 16, and Portsmouth on June 17. Wednesday’s open date will act as a potential rain date should any event prior need to utilize it.
