JONESTOWN, Pa. (September 21, 2020) – The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss translated four Central Pennsylvania starts into a pair of top-ten finishes during the recent weekend, highlighting all appearances with a sixth-place performance during Lincoln Speedway’s Dirt Classic 7 featuring the All Star Circuit of Champions on Saturday, September 19.
Lining-up seventh on the 40-lap, $20,000-to-win grid, Zearfoss was a top-ten threat the entire distance, battling ahead and contending for a top-five before settling for one spot out. The end result equaled Zearfoss’ 14th top-ten finish of the season against Tony Stewart’s All Stars, bettering most of the 53-car field in attendance.
Two nights prior at BAPS Motor Speedway, Zearfoss finished eighth, maintaining a spot inside the top-ten after starting sixth on the Kevin Gobrecht Classic lineup.
Zearfoss was well on his way to a top-ten finish during Williams Grove Speedway’s Jack Gunn Memorial on Friday, September 18, but contact with the outside retaining wall on the final circuit forced the Jonestown, Pennsylvania-native to stop just shy of the start/finish line; he was scored 21st.
“It was a pretty good weekend, but we’re always striving to do better. The speed is there and we’ve proven that over and over again. We have to tweak on some things and we’ll be right there,” Zearfoss said, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., BAPS Auto Paints & Supply, Meckley’s Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, X-1 Race Cars, No. 3Z sprint car who finished 11th during Lincoln’s Weldon Sterner Memorial to open his four-race week on Wednesday. “I can’t thank my team enough for all of their hard work. We’ve been racing close to home, but a four-race schedule like that is never easy, no matter where you are at. We have another big week ahead, so we’ll do what we can to get our car to the front.”
Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their 2020 campaign with another four-race sweep, this time invading the highbanks of Eldora Speedway for the highly-anticipated Governors Reign on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 22-23, followed by back-to-back starts at Williams Grove Speedway and Selinsgrove Speedway on Friday and Saturday, September 25-26. Selinsgrove Speedway’s National Open will award $20,000.
The first-ever Governors Reign at The Big E will kick-off with a $10,000-to-win preliminary on Tuesday, capped with the $52,000-to-win finale the following evening.
