Zearfoss Looks Ahead After Tough Start to Speedweek
Will Return to PA Speedweek Trail on Wednesday at Hagerstown

Jonestown, PA (June 29th, 2015) – After a pair of tough finishes during Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek presented by Jake’s Wayback Burgers, Brock Zearfoss will spend two nights away from competition before rejoining the speedweek trail on Wednesday, July 1st. Zearfoss, driver of the familiar Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar and Grill, Central Builders Supply, Leach’s Automotive Service, Meckley’s Limestone, no. 3Z ‘410’ sprint car, entered Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek action on Friday, June 26th at Williams Grove Speedway and again on Sunday, June 28th at the Path Valley Speedway Park; qualifying for both main events but only averaging a 17th place performance. Despite disappointment, Zearfoss still looks forward to rejoining speedweek action in northern Maryland on Wednesday.
“It’s tough out here” said Zearfoss, “We’ve been struggling a little bit so far. We are racing against the toughest teams in Pennsylvania and you have to be almost perfect every time you hit the track. Regardless, we are still learning a lot and we hope to use that from here on out. We have to put ourselves in a little better position and that starts with qualifying. We’ll be mentally ready for the rest of the week. I had some work obligations early in the week but we’ll be ready for Wednesday.”
Brock Zearfoss will visit the Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland on Wednesday evening, July 1st. Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek will then move on to the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania on Thursday, July 2nd; featuring the $7,000-to-win ‘Kevin Gobrecht Memorial.’ The $10,000-to-win ‘Mitch Smith Memorial’ will be hosted at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday night, July 3rd. The 25th edition of Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek presented by Jake’s Wayback Burgers will conclude with back to back visits to blazing fast half-mile ovals beginning with the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 4th. Speedweek will conclude on Sunday, July 5th at the Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
“We have plenty of racing left this week” said Zearfoss, “We’ve had some solid finishes in the past at a few of the tracks we visit the rest of the week. We’re going to keep working hard and try to get this ‘3Z’ up front.”
The ‘Jonestown Jet’ finished 18th during main event action at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, June 26th, followed by a 16th place performance at the Path Valley Speedway Park on Sunday, June 28th.
