Mercer Doubleheader Next for Cody Bova!
Bova Continues 2015 Mercer Title Chase

Struthers, Ohio (June 29th, 2015) – After losing an entire weekend of competition due to Mother Nature, Cody Bova and Bova Racing will move ahead to a potential doubleheader weekend in western Pennsylvania. The J.S. Bova Excavating, AIMI Product Imagining, LLC., Richardson Tree Service, BC Contracting, J.S. Paris Excavating, no. 20B ‘305’ sprint car team will prepare for a visit to the Mercer Raceway Park this Friday and Saturday; entering two consecutive ‘305’ sprint car programs in search of win number four of 2015.
“The weather has been a mess” said Bova, “We’ve lost a lot of races this season. The weekend ahead has the potential to be really busy for us so hopefully that follows through. We just want to race.”
Cody Bova will visit the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania this Friday and Saturday, July 3rd & 4th. The Mercer oval will host back to back full programs for the ‘305’ sprint cars, or ‘Outlaw Sprint Warriors,’ as they co-headline the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions ‘410’ sprint car events during Independence Day weekend. Bova is a two-time main event winner at Mercer Raceway Park in 2015 and continues to lead the way in the current ‘Outlaw Sprint Warriors’ track championship title chase. The Struthers, Ohio native is hunting for a career-first track championship.
“It will be fun racing on the same card as the All Stars this weekend at Mercer” said Bova, “This is a great opportunity for our class to race in front of some new fans. I’m sure the speedway will be packed which will make it even more exciting for us. We have to be solid on both nights. Our goal is to continue our consistency and eventually earn a track championship.”
Bova will enter the upcoming weekend with a six point cushion in the Mercer Raceway Park standings over George Hobaugh. The twenty-one-year-old owns three victories during ‘305’ sprint car competition in 2015; two at Mercer Raceway Park and one at the Thunder Mountain Speedway near Brookville, Pennsylvania.
