JONESTOWN, Pa. (May 28, 2019) – Despite each of his starts ending short of the overall goal, it was obvious that Brock Zearfoss was comfortable in Ohio. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania-native was battling well inside the top-five – leading action at Attica Raceway Park – during each of his All Star Circuit of Champions starts in the Buckeye State before bad luck struck and forced frustrating outcomes.

The frustration ignited on Friday evening at Attica Raceway Park when Zearfoss found a rut while leading the 40-lap contest, eventually spinning the familiar No. 70 to a stop in turn two. Despite losing the lead, Zearfoss recovered from the tail to finish 13th; he led the first 21 circuits.

In similar fashion, Zearfoss was on pace for a top-five finish on Sunday evening at Fremont Speedway when contact was made with a fellow competitor sending each of the cars around in turn two. Unfortunately, extensive damage, caused when another competitor made contact with Zearfoss during his spin, did not allow Zearfoss to return to the speedway.

Before making the trip to the Buckeye State, Zearfoss and Premier Motorsports joined the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at Bridgeport Speedway in Bridgeport, N.J., on Tuesday, May 21. The ‘Jonestown Jet’ was scored 15th after starting 17th on the grid.

“Things didn’t end how we wanted, but the guys gave me a great car all weekend. I was comfortable and we were able to show a lot of speed. That’s really motivating and I’m excited for our findings. Unfortunately, I had some things not go our way and it cost us some great finishes,” Brock Zearfoss said, driver of the Premier Motorsports/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc./BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Meckley’s Limestone Products/Berkebile Oil Company/River City Wood Products/No. 70 sprint car. “We have a big weekend ahead. We’ll work to make things up when we get to Mansfield.”

Up next on the schedule, Brock Zearfoss will make the tow to Mansfield Motor Speedway in Mansfield, Ohio, for the Sprint Car World Championship on Thursday through Saturday, May 30 – June 1. Joining many of the nation’s finest, Zearfoss will battle for a $100,000 top prize, which will be awarded on Saturday night. The weekend will kick off with a pair of $5,000-to-win preliminaries on Thursday and Friday.
