Zearfoss Will Work to Rebound After Disappointing Living Legends Dream
JONESTOWN, PA (August 8, 2016) – After what turned out to be a disappointing weekend of competition, finishing 12th and 14th, respectively, during action at two, renowned Central Pennsylvania facilities, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss will return to competition with the intent to do a complete turnaround and land himself back in victory lane.
Zearfoss, pilot of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Berkebile Oil Company, No. 3Z, will enter competition on Friday night, August 12, and Saturday night, August 13, visiting Williams Grove Speedway on Friday and an undetermined destination on Saturday. With the Port Royal Speedway off during the upcoming weekend, a routine Saturday night destination for Brock Zearfoss, the Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native will choose between Lincoln Speedway and Selinsgrove Speedway.
“Not the weekend we wanted, but we’ll work to rebound. That is all we can do.” Brock Zearfoss said. “Friday night really wasn’t our fault. We were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Saturday, we guessed wrong and it cost us – simple as that. Sometimes you guess right and sometimes you guess wrong. We guessed wrong on Saturday. My guys never give up and keep working hard. We’ll put that weekend behind us and look forward to the next. We learned what we did wrong and we’ll apply that. We’re still learning. We learn every day.”
Zearfoss finished 12th at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, August 5; recovering after an early flat during the main event caused by wing debris on the racing surface. The “Jonestowns Jet” owns one victory at The Grove in 2016, his first ever 410 sprint car victory.
The Living Legends Dream Race at Port Royal Speedway on August 6 had end results equaling a 14th-place finish for Brock Zearfoss. Fast time during qualifying, mixed in with a second place finish during one of two semi-features, placed Zearfoss on the second row for the $10,000-to-win main event. Unfortunately, missed calculations on car setup would result in a 14th-place finish.
“You take the bad with the good and move on,” Zearfoss said. “We have some things in the works for this weekend. We’ll do our best to rebound and get back to victory lane.”
