Brandon Matus Ready for a Western Pennsylvania Weekend
Lernerville Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park Up Next for the ‘Wheelman’

Wampum, PA (April 18th, 2013) – Brandon Matus kicked off his 2013 Western Pennsylvania racing season in a good way this past Sunday afternoon, April 14th, at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The fourth generation sprint car driver out of Wampum, Pennsylvania would earn a top ten finish during the DIRTcar Roundup ‘Steel City Stampede’ sprint car main event on Sunday afternoon at the Lernerville Speedway. Matus, who is a former winner at the Sarver, Pennsylvania oval, finished eighth (8th) officially on Sunday; climbing over ten positions to secure his best finish of the season thus far.
Brandon Matus, or better known as ‘The Wheelman,’ will be in action for two consecutive Western Pennsylvania race nights this Friday and Saturday, April 19th & 20th. The pilot of the Sobczak Electric, Matus Service Center, Miller Masonry no. 13 ‘410’ sprinter will kick off his upcoming weekend on Friday, April 19th, at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Friday’s program will consist of the season’s first ‘Fab Four’ weekly event for Lernerville Speedway. The ‘410’ sprint cars will be joined by the super late models, big block modifieds, and the sportsmans stock cars for a regular night of ‘Fab Four’ competition. On Saturday evening, April 20th, Brandon Matus will venture to the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania for their first weekly racing event of the season. The ‘Saturday Night Live’ program will feature the speedway’s weekly divisions; which includes the ‘410’ sprint cars. Brandon Matus, who travels from race to race with his father and fellow competitor, Brent Matus, has never earned a victory at the Mercer 3/8’s mile oval, but has intentions of making a victory a reality this Saturday night.
