CARLISLE, Pa. (June 26, 2023) – Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports put together an impressive effort during their recent trek to the Mt. Rushmore State, not only highlighting Huset’s Speedway’s High Bank Nationals with four consecutive top-ten outcomes, but ultimately capping the groundbreaking program with an eighth-place finish in the $250,000-to-win finale on Saturday, June 24 – the largest paying, and perhaps most competitive program in World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series history.

Bayston, ace of the TrueTimber Camo, Rothco, JRC Transportation, Nyce Crete and Landis, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Kistler Engines, Highlands’ Power Sports, High Performance Lubricants, No. 5 sprint car, kicked off action at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, with ninth, seventh, and third-place preliminary results, respectively, leading laps in his podium effort before surrendering the top spot to Logan Schuchart on lap five.

Two nights prior in Wednesday’s opener, Bayston, who calls Lebanon, Indiana, home, was battling for a top-five when trouble occurred forcing the former USAC National Midget Series champion and World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year to the work area. Bayston eventually recovered and charged home to finish ninth.

“We were one of the most consistent teams this week at Huset’s Speedway and that’s something to really be proud of,” Bayston explained. “We qualified almost perfectly every night which gave us a solid foundation for our entire effort. I feel like we had a perfect race package in place and we were able to have a strong car every time we hit the track. We’re really starting to hit our strides as a team and there’s no better time to do that than now, especially with some really big events coming up this summer.

“I want to thank my entire crew for their hard work and dedication,” Bayston continued. “They gave me a car that proved to be successful, and a car that our team owner, Chad Clemens, can be proud of.”

Bayston’s week-long results at Huset’s Speedway propelled his World of Outlaws top-ten count to 22 on the year, four of which within the top five.
