“We are ready to go!” explained Brandon Matus about the upcoming UNOH All Star event at Sharon Speedway, “Winning that race last year was  just unreal…I can’t even begin to explain how it felt…but we are ready to go back…we’ve been having a pretty good year but I’m feeling really good about getting back to Sharon Speedway…there will be a ton of good cars at this race; but so did last year…hopefully we can repeat and make history again!”

Matus, who is the son and teammate to long-time Western Pennsylvania sprint car veteran Brent Matus, will go head-to-head this Tuesday evening, June 25th with not only a strong UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions’ presence, including Dale Blaney, Tim Shaffer, and Danny Holtgraver, but also a large roster of local and regional talent. The pilot of the Sobczak Electric, Matus Service Center, Miller Masonry, Ti22 Performance, no. 13 ‘410’ sprint car has one (1) career UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions’ victory; that being last year’s ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ event at the Sharon Speedway. Sharon Speedway’s UNOH All Star program this Tuesday night, June 25th will be stop number five (5) of eight (8) on the 2013 ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ schedule; which includes appearances at Attica Raceway Park, Eldora Speedway, Waynesfield Raceway Park, Wayne County Speedway, Sharon Speedway, Fremont Speedway, Limaland Motorsports Park, and back at Fremont Speedway. With the ‘Firecracker 100’ Presented by Gottarace.com, featuring the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, taking over the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania this Thursday through Saturday, June 27th – 29th; no ‘410’ sprint car competition will be hosted at the 4/10’s mile this Friday night. With that said, Matus’ only scheduled destinations for the upcoming weekend include the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania; and the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pennsylvania. A ‘Saturday Night Live!’ weekly event will be hosted at the Mercer 3/8’s mile dirt oval on Saturday, June 29th; with a special fireworks program also planned at the speedway. Brandon Matus’ upcoming weekend will come to a close with an appearance at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, PA on Sunday, June 30th. The Sunday evening program at ‘Dirt’s Monster Half Mile’ will feature the winged ‘410’ sprint cars for the first time in 2013.

Recent results for Brandon Matus and the Sobczak Electric, Matus Service Center, ‘13’ sprinter includes earning a top-ten finish with the non-wing, Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (B.O.S.S.) at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Saturday, June 22nd.
