Brent Marks Continues to Show Speed at Port Royal; Central PA Triple-Header On Deck!

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MYERSTOWN, Pa. (April 4, 2016) – Despite what turned out to be a “struggle” during his Friday night, April 1, appearance at Williams Grove Speedway, resulting in a 13th place finish after a constant battle with brake issues, the “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks rebounded and scored another top-five finish at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday night, April 2. Marks, pilot of the familiar Brent Marks Racing, M&M Painting & Construction, BAPS Auto Paint & Supply, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Russell Heller Builders, No. 19M, finished 4th at the “Speed Palace” on Saturday night, charging forward from a fifth row starting position in just 25 laps. The top-five finish was his second of the season at Port Royal Speedway, including a victory on Saturday, March 19.

“Friday night turned out to be a struggle all night,” explained Brent Marks. “My guys worked as hard as they could to find the problem and fix it, but we could never really recover. On Saturday, things worked out great. We had to start tenth, but worked forward the entire race and found ourselves inside the top-five. Our decision to not go to Atomic Speedway really worked in our favor. We have Port Royal Speedway really figured out. There are a lot of big programs there over the course of the season. Hopefully we can keep this momentum going and get to the top of the podium when big money is on the line.”

Brent Marks will now prepare for three consecutive events in Central Pennsylvania this Friday through Sunday, April 8-10, visiting three different facilities including a return to Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway. The Myerstown, Pa., native will visit ‘The Grove’ on Friday night, April 8, before revisiting the “Speed Palace” on Saturday, April 9. Marks will conclude the upcoming triple-header weekend on Sunday, April 10, with a visit to Susquehanna Speedway near York Haven for the first time in 2016.

“Really looking forward to entering three races this weekend,” said Brent Marks. “We like to stay busy and we like to race as much as we can. I think we are all pretty excited to get back to Susquehanna Speedway this Sunday. They’ve been doing a ton of work to that place, so we’re all looking forward to seeing the changes. BAPS is a major supporter of all of the 410 sprint events at Susquehanna this year. We want to be there to support the track and support BAPS.”
