Brent Marks scores top-ten during WoO action in Plymouth, Indiana
Three events in four days ahead

PLYMOUTH, IN (May 1, 2017) – The “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks scored his fifth top-ten finish of the 2017 World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series season on Friday evening, April 28, this time finishing sixth during main event action at the Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, Indiana. Marks, who started fourth on the feature grid after qualifying eighth fastest overall during qualifying time trials, securing his main event starting spot with a runner-up finish during his respective heat race, finished just ahead of fellow World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series Rookie of the Year contender Sheldon Haudenschild.
“It always feels good to run this well with the best in the world. We are having a lot of fun right now and it definitely shows. I think we are starting to build some rhythm,” Brent Marks explained. “This is a perfect opportunity for us to find a ‘sweet spot’ within our program. We get to travel home soon and compete in front of our home fans, so our intent is to win.”
Brent Marks will continue his 2017 World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year campaign with a busy spell of three events in four days beginning with the rescheduled Bull Ring Outlaw Blitz on Wednesday, May 3, at the Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. Action will continue on Friday and Saturday, May 5-6, with a pair of events further into the Midwest, first visiting the Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Missouri, on Friday, May 5, followed by an appearance at the 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas, on Saturday, May 6.
Brent Marks will enter the busy stretch currently 12th in the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series standings, as well as second in the Rookie of the Year championship hunt.
“These busy stretches of two, three and four races are important to us,” Brent Marks said. “Sure, it is a lot of running around, but we want to keep our positive momentum in-tune, and racing as much as possible will allow that to happen. I’m excited for what the rest of the summer holds for us. We’re knocking on the door. That win is coming. We are all working so hard to get it.”
