“Great start to the weekend” said Brock Zearfoss, “We had the car right where it needed to be and we were able to take advantage of that. To finish on the podium against a field of cars like that is a real accomplishment. We couldn’t make that continue on Saturday, but we are proud of our weekend and we’ll work hard to keep it going the rest of the year.”
Unfortunately, the pilot of the Moose’s LZ Bar and Grill, Central Builders Supply, Leach’s Automotive Service, Meckley’s Limestone, #3Z was unable to repeat success on Sunday evening, September 13, during the 48th annual “Tuscarora 50.” Brock Zearfoss did not qualify for the historic, 50-lap main event at Port Royal Speedway, settling for a fifth place performance during the second of two B-mains.
“Not how we wanted to end the weekend” said Zearfoss, “We qualified right around mid-pack which put us on the third row of our heat race. Just couldn’t get going forward all night. Tough to swallow but we’ll put it behind us and move forward. We have a big weekend coming up so we’ll regroup and start over on Friday.”
Brock Zearfoss will move ahead and prepare for events at the Williams Grove Speedway and Selinsgrove Speedway during the upcoming weekend. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania native will enter a regular “410” program at “The Grove” in Mechanicsburg on Friday evening, September 18, followed by a trip to the Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove for the 33rd annual “Jim Nace Memorial/National Open” worth $10,000 on Saturday, September 19.
