Brock Zearfoss powered forward for top-ten at the Speed Palace;
Three events in three days on deck
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
JONESTOWN, PA (April 3, 2017) – The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss cruised to a second consecutive top-ten finish at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night, April 1, charging forward from 15th on the main event grid to finish eighth at the final checkers. Zearfoss, a former main event winner at the “Speed Palace” and the 2016 track championship runner-up, now finds himself fourth in the Port Royal Speedway track championship chase after two rounds of competition, trailing point leader, as well as future father-in-law, Doug Esh by 55 markers.
“Saturday was a good night. We had to make the best of what we had to work with,” Zearfoss explained, pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Meckley’s Limestone/Central Builders Supply Co./Berkebile Oil Company/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Invisible Glass/Walker Performance Filtration/ No. 3Z. “We didn’t draw very well, so naturally that put us behind from the start. We started to climb through the field pretty quickly, actually up within the top-ten with four laps in. Unfortunately, a bad restart set me back again to nearly where I started. The track was a little narrow, so that made it pretty tough to recover. Regardless, we rolled in the trailer in one piece and survived to see next week.”
Brock Zearfoss will spend the next few days preparing for a three-race weekend in Central Pennsylvania, beginning with a pair of routine stops at the Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway on Friday and Saturday, April 7-8, respectively. On Sunday evening, April 9, Zearfoss will make an appearance at the Susquehanna Speedway near York Haven, Pennsylvania; the first of seven potential visits by the 410 cubic inch sprint cars in 2017.
“We’re excited for the busy, multi-race weekends,” Brock Zearfoss explained. “It allows us to build some momentum and it keeps our heads in the game. I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work. We are off to a great start this year. I think we have the potential to make a lot of noise this season in Central Pennsylvania. The upcoming weekend should tell the tale.”
