Brock Zearfoss Pushes Through First Speedweek, Looks Forward to Getting Back to Normal

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (July 6, 2016) – Brock Zearfoss put his team to the test during the last week, participating in the entire Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek schedule stretching from Friday, June 24, until Sunday, July 3. When the ten day campaign settled, the “Jonestown Jet” earned feature starts during all seven contested speedweek events, earning one top-ten finish, ninth officially, at Port Royal Speedway on Thursday, June 30. Zearfoss finished 15th in the final Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek championship standings.

Brock Zearfoss will return to a normal racing schedule during the upcoming weekend, all set to visit routine destinations in Central Pennsylvania.

“We had a pretty good speedweek. The results weren’t where we wanted them to be, but it was a great learning experience,” Brock Zearfoss said. “It was our first, full speedweek, so we are proud of that accomplishment. It’s definitely not easy. We learned a lot and figured out some different things to do with the car. We’ll try to apply that this weekend when we return to work.”

Zearfoss will visit Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway during his upcoming weekend agenda, beginning with competition at “The Grove” in Mechanicsburg on Friday night, July 8. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native has one victory at the world famous paperclip in 2016, his first ever 410 sprint car victory, occurring back on Friday night, June 3.

The weekend will continue on Saturday evening, July 9, with a visit to the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal. Zearfoss has been a regular competitor at the “Speed Palace” in 2016 and will enter pit gates currently fourth in the track championship chase.

“As much as we enjoyed ourselves during speedweek, it will be nice to return to a normal schedule this weekend,” said Zearfoss. “I just want to take the time to thank all of those who helped make speedweek possible for this team. It requires a lot of dedication. I’m proud to say that we definitely don’t lack that.”
