July 9th, 2012} Denver, Pennsylvania native and Team Fully Injected supporter, Alan Krimes, ended his trek across Pennsylvania last night at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, and left the sprawling half mile 2nd in the final Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek standings. The Conestoga Valley Garage ’87’ finished the ‘8 races in 9 days’ tour of Pennsylvania/Maryland second in the overall speedweek standings, and now finds himself 7th in the overall Central PA sprint car standings. A fifth place finish at Big Diamond Speedway on Sunday, July 1st was Krimes’ top finish of the week. The full-time ‘410’ sprint car competitor in Central Pennsylvania only finished outside of the top 10 once during the eight days of competition; crossing the start/finish line 13th in the running order at Grandview Speedway during night #3. When the week came to a close last night at Selinsgrove Speedway, Krimes had 7 – top 10’s: including 1 – top 5, and two sixth place finishes!
Krimes finished less than 100 points behind 13-time PA Sprint Speedweek champion, Fred Rahmer, in the final standings. Positions 3-5 in the speedweek point standings were earned by Greg Hodnett, Lance Dewease and Daryn Pittman. The ’87’ team proved during the nine day mini-series that consistency is the key to success; considering all eight winners during the 2012 edition of Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek finished behind Krimes in the standings.
