Danny Dietrich Keeps Lincoln Top-Ten Streak Alive
Ready for Williams Grove Speedway Opener on March 18

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (March 14, 2016) – Danny Dietrich increased his Lincoln Speedway top-ten streak to three consecutive during the recent weekend; finishing fifth during the last afternoon program of the season on Saturday, March 12. The Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native started seventh on the feature grid and rallied two positions, battling Central Pennsylvania heavy hitters Cory Haas and Brian Montieth during much of the 25-lapper. The fifth place performance was Dietrich’s first top-five of the season in the Pigeon Hills, as he continues to push closer and closer toward his first win of the year.

“We are getting closer” Danny Dietrich explained, “We almost have this new Maxim where it needs to be. The track conditions made things a little tough to pass again; quick and narrow for much of the race, but we made the best of it and tried some things and they worked. Can’t thank my guys for their hard work and dedication. We have a lot of support behind this team and a lot of fans who add to that. We’ll get them a win here soon.”

Dietrich’s visit to Lincoln Speedway was the first of two stops on March 12; completing a Central Pennsylvania doubleheader that concluded with competition at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” in Port Royal, Pennsylvania, on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, after starting second on the main event grid and leading the first few circuits, Dietrich’s night would end earlier than expected; cutting a tire, ultimately resulting in a DNF. The pilot of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Hickory Run Orchards, Weikert’s Livestock, Carlisle Auto Salvage, CATS Used Truck Parts, No. 48 was the only Central Pennsylvania competitor to compete in both main events, Lincoln Speedway and Port Royal Speedway, on March 12, arriving at Port Royal Speedway just in time to prep the race car for another full program.

“Not how we wanted to end our day, but those things happen” Danny Dietrich explained, “I must have ran something over on the race track. I felt like we had the car to beat. We’ll go over everything this week and be ready to go this weekend. We had a lot of fun on Saturday. Our goal was to enter both programs and contend for both wins, so it was fun to make that happen.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2016 campaign this Friday and Saturday, March 18-19, with a full weekend of competition in “Posse Country.” “Double-D” will visit the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg on Friday evening, March 18; the season opener for the world famous dirt oval. Dietrich’s weekend will resume on Saturday evening, March 19, with a fourth visit to Lincoln Speedway.
