Marks Hopes for Better Outcome During Upcoming Central PA Start

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MYERSTOWN, Pa. (March 14, 2016) – Brent Marks was on his way to a potential top-five finish on Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway; advancing from a sixth row starting position to top-five contention with just ten circuits recorded during the 25-lap, Port Royal Speedway season opener. Unfortunately, his progress through the field was cut short; caught in a scary, on-track incident involving two other competitors. All drivers were unharmed, but Marks would have to settle for a disappointing DNF.

“That was scary…one of the scariest I’ve ever been involved in” Brent Marks said, “It was just a racing deal and I’m glad everyone is OK. You never want to see anyone get hurt. At the same time, it was really disappointing for us. I was really happy with the car. We overcame a bad pill draw on a very fast race track and contended for a top-five. I think we had a podium car, but we’ll put that behind us and work to do it again next weekend.”

The 2016 season will hit another gear for Brent Marks Racing this Friday and Saturday, as the M&M Painting & Construction, BAPS Auto Paint & Supply, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Russell Heller Builders, KC Automotive, No. 19M team plans to enter back-to-back nights of 410 sprint car competition in Central Pennsylvania. Marks will help the world famous Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg launch their 2016 schedule by entering action on Friday night, March 18. The “Myerstown Missile” will continue his upcoming weekend with action back at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” in Port Royal on Saturday night, March 19.

“We’re excited to get back to Williams Grove Speedway” Brent Marks explained, “We hope to put ourselves in a good position during the entire night and work for a win. We’ll have a similar game plan at Port Royal Speedway; put ourselves in a position like last Saturday and push toward the front. We are happy with how the car feels so far this year. I think we’ll be contending for wins often. I just want to thank all of our fans and supporters. We had a lot of people contact us after the feature at Port Royal to make sure I was OK. I appreciate all of the concerns.”
