Jared Miley Seeks Herb Scott Title at PPMS,
Hesston speedweek event on deck
PITTSBURGH (June 10, 2016) – In hopes of adding depth to his already impressive list of accolades at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, “The Jet” Jared Miley will return to “Dirt’s Monster Half-Mile” this Saturday evening, June 11, and work to out-duel the UFo Championship super late models for a shot at the Herb Scott Championship. Miley, a former UFo Championship main event winner at the Imperial-based dirt complex, owns two super late model victories on the season, aiming for number three and $4,000 this Saturday night.
“Pittsburgh is home to us for a number of reasons,” explained Jared Miley. “We grew up there and learned a lot from being around it. It’s one of the closest facilities to our shop, so that made it an obvious choice for a lot of weekend racing. We’ve been successful there almost from the start. I hope to continue that this weekend.”
Before venturing to the Herb Scott Championship at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon, “The Jet” Jared Miley will enter competition at the Hesston Speedway near Hesston, Pennsylvania, later this evening, Friday, June 10. Round five of Appalachian Mountain Dirt Late Model Speedweek will be the main attraction, awarding a $5,000 top prize.
“I think the weather is finally going to give us a full weekend of racing,” explained Jared Miley. “We’ve been trying to dodge the raindrops since the start of the season. We’re ready for a few clear weeks.”
