Ringgold, PA (July 25th, 2013) – Western Pennsylvania crate late model star, Joe Martin, will be considerably busy during the upcoming weekend; as multiple high-dollar crate late model events are scheduled to take shape all across Western Pennsylvania. Martin, who pilots the Joe Martin Motorsports (JM2 Motorsports), Allegheny Crane Rental, The George Washington Hotel, Spartan Thru Tubing, Extreme Plastics Plus, Neese Trucking, no. 55 crate late model, will attempt to tame a total of three (3) events over the course of the upcoming weekend, and potentially earn three (3) – $2,000 top prizes. All three (3) events are series’ sanctioned crate late model programs; being hosted by the Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series, and the FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division. Action for Joe Martin and JM2 Motorsports begins this Friday evening, July 26th at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania.
Joe Martin will begin his upcoming weekend with a road trip south to the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania on Friday evening, July 26th. The Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series will be hosting the $2,000-to-win, ‘Battle Down The National Pike’ event at the southwestern Pennsylvania speed-plant on Friday; which is the second installment of a previously scheduled weekend. The July 26th program was originally scheduled for April 19th, but was moved due to inclement weather conditions. The first segment of the ‘Battle Down The National Pike’ weekend was already completed earlier this season at the Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland. Martin will enter the Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series event at Roaring Knob third (3rd) in the current Sweeney RUSH Touring Series standings; on the strength of eight (8) top-ten finishes; including five (5) top-five finishes. JM2 Motorsports will spend their upcoming Saturday evening, July 27th at the Marion Center Speedway in Marion Center, Pennsylvania; participating in a first-ever FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division event at the speedway. The $2,000-to-win crate late model event will attract some of the region’s finest crate stars; including Ringgold native, Joe Martin. The inaugural event will be a segment of FASTRAK’s ‘Summer Sizzler’ Triple Crown; which will begin on Friday, July 26th at Raceway 7, and end on July 28th at the Eriez Speedway. Joe Martin has spent very little time with the FASTRAK ranks during his 2013 campaign thus far, but is a former full-time traveler with the FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division. The pilot of the familiar yellow and black ‘55’ earned three (3) FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division main event wins back in 2012; including a ‘King of the Hill’ victory at the Lernerville Speedway. Joe Martin will close-out his upcoming weekend with another FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division event; only this time at the Eriez Speedway near Erie, Pennsylvania on Sunday, July 28th. The $2,000-to-win crate late model program will not only help bring an end to Joe Martin’s busy three-race weekend, but it will also help end the FASTRAK ‘Summer Sizzler’ Triple Crown. The ‘55’ team has earned an incredible fifteen (15) top-five finishes, and twenty (20) top-ten finishes, during those twenty-three (23) starts. Better known as ‘Business,’ Joe Martin owns one (1) victory during crate late model competition thus far in 2013; with that being earned at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania.
