‘Kings Royal’ and ‘Silver Cup’ Next for Danny Holtgraver
Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing Look to Defeat WoO at Home Track on Tuesday

Pittsburgh, PA (July 15th, 2015) – The 2015 season will hit full stride for Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing as they prepare to take part in the first segment of the ‘Month of Money.’ Holtgraver, pilot of the Phoenix Racing, Bonnell’s Rod Shop, DKW Transport, Auto Electric of Jupiter, Florida, Southern Pacific Farms, no. 59, will join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series for a pair of programs in Ohio and Pennsylvania during the coming week; beginning with the 32 annual ‘Kings Royal’ at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.
“This is a great opportunity for us to really get our season turned around” said Holtgraver, “We’ve been finding the speed that we need, now we just need to take advantage of it and make it work. Can’t say enough about this team and what they do to make it possible for me to race. Sometimes it’s easy for us to get disappointed and down on ourselves, but we are pretty quick to put it behind us and look forward to the next race. I just want to thank Tom and Sherry Leidig again for this opportunity. Our time is soon. We are well overdue for a win.”
Danny Holtgraver will visit ‘The Big E’ this Friday and Saturday, July 17th & 18th for the ‘Kings Royal XXXII.’ The two-day program, featuring two complete World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series programs, will be headlined with a $50,000-to-win main event on Saturday evening, July 18th. Holtgraver entered the 2014 edition of the ‘Kings Royal’ weekend. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native qualified for the ‘Knight Before the Kings Royal’ preliminary main event on July 11th, 2014; finishing 14th during the 30-lap feature program. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native is a former UNOH All Star main event winner at the Eldora Speedway; conquering a round of Ohio Sprint Speedweek in 2014.
‘Downtown’ Danny Holtgraver will rejoin the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Tuesday evening, July 21st at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The ‘Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XXIV’ will take over the Sarver, 4/10-mile dirt oval on Tuesday evening. The program will feature twin, $10,000-to-win, 30-lap main events for ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt.’ Holtgraver, a former Lernerville Speedway track champion, qualified for the twin 30-lap features in 2014 but was scored 23rd and 25th respectively after getting tangled with other cars during main event action. ‘Downtown’ finished a career high second during ‘Silver Cup’ feature action in 2012.
“Always ready to get back to Eldora and Lernerville” said Holtgraver, “We’ve had our share of luck at both and we’ve won races at both. Lernerville Speedway is special to me for obvious reasons. I’ll have a lot of family and friends there on Tuesday night. A lot of guys that used to help us with the race car and sponsor us will be there. Just a great we to reconnect with people and I always look forward to that.”
