Lernerville and “Putzy Kekich Memorial” Up Next for Danny Holtgraver
Finishes Third During Sprint Monster at PPMS

Pittsburgh, PA (August 6, 2015) – Western Pennsylvania’s Danny Holtgraver will take advantage of an “off week” in the 2015 UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions schedule and race a little closer to home. Holtgraver, pilot of the Phoenix Racing, Bonnell’s Rod Shop, DKW Transport, Auto Electric of Jupiter, Southern Pacific Farms, #59 “410” sprinter, will visit Lernerville Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park during the upcoming weekend; making his return to “Fab Four” competition, as well as joining the Mercer field for the 2nd annual “Putzy Kekich Memorial.”
“We didn’t have any schedule obligations this weekend so we figured we’d race a little closer to home” said Holtgraver, “It’s always a lot of fun racing right around home. My friends and family have an opportunity to visit with us at the track. We had a pretty good night at Pittsburgh last Sunday so we plan to move that momentum into the upcoming weekend.”
Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing will visit the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Friday night, August 7. The former Lernerville Speedway track champion will enter a round of “Fab Four” competition on Friday night; his first appearance back at Lernerville Speedway since entering the “Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup” in mid-July.
The weekend will continue on Saturday, August 8, at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The 2nd annual “Putzy Kekich Memorial” will headline the Mercer venue on Saturday night; awarding $4,000 to the main event winner. Danny Holtgraver is a former feature winner at Mercer Raceway Park in multiple sprint car divisions including “410” and “360” sprint cars. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native will search for a way to outrun the strong local contention on Saturday night and ride home with the $4,000 winner’s share.
Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing will enter the weekend riding momentum from one of their strongest performances of the season. The UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions visited Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania on Sunday, August 2, with Phoenix Racing in tow. Holtgraver would eventually rally thirteen positions during main event competition with the UNOH All Stars; climbing forward from a scheduled 16th starting position to finish third. The #59 team would also earn the “Hard Charger” honors for their efforts.
