TULSA, Okla. (June 2, 2014) – The Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real will make its first starts in the month of June in the Mid-South with the series first visit of the season to the Lexington 104 Speedway in Lexington, Tenn. on Friday, June 6 followed by the second stop of 2014 at the I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. on Saturday June 7.

First visiting the Tennessee oval on August 24, 2013, Jason Johnson took the series inaugural checkered flag at the Lexington 104 Speedway. The site of a very rare qualifying session in ASCS National competition, Jeff Swindell holds the track record at 11.871 seconds.

What was scheduled to be the second stop of the season at the Tennessee oval, the season’s earlier visit on April 11 was called off due to persistent weather that had delayed work to the track’s back straight-a-way wall.

The Lexington 104 Speedway will open its gates at 5:00 P.M. (CT) with races starting at 7:04 P.M. Tickets are available the day of the race for only $15.00. The Friday affair will include Hobby and Street Stocks. For more information, call 731-968-8333 or log onto http://www.lexington104speedway.com.

Returning to where Aaron Reutzel scored his first Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour victory on April 12, 2014 the I-30 Speedway hosts the series on Saturday, June 7. The 70th points paying show in ASCS National Tour history, the Saturday stop will be the 71st time the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour has taken to the high-banked quarter-mile.

A Speedweek stop on June 6, 2009 was a non-point paying show that saw Tony Bruce, Jr. in victory lane. In all, 27 drivers have claimed at least one Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour win at the I-30 Speedway. Of those, 14 have multiple wins.

Events at the I-30 Speedway are scheduled to begin at 7:30 P.M. (CT) with gates to the Grandstands and Pits opening at 5:00 P.M. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the gate. Tickets can be purchased at the I-30 Speedway office. For more information, call 501-455-4567 or log onto http://www.i-30speedway.com.

Brad Loyet carries the National Tour into the weekend double-header with a 24 point margin over Jason Johnson. Loyet rolls off his first Lucas Oil ASCS National triumph of the 2014 season this past Saturday night at the Eagle Raceway. The series last visit to the I-30 Speedway on April 12 saw Loyet placing third. Last season’s stop at the Lexington 104 Speedway ended with Loyet eighth.

The site of Jason Johnson’s seventh win of the 2013 season, the four-time Lucas Oil ASCS National Champion has yet to grab a National Tour win in 2014. Johnson finished sixth on April 12 at the I-30 Speedway and is second in all time wins at the quarter-mile with eight.

Johnny Herrera slipped past Jeff Swindell to re-claim third in series standings. Herrera crossed second in 2013 at the Lexington 104 Speedway, and was ninth after starting twenty-first earlier this year at the I-30 Speedway.

Jeff Swindell holds a slim four point margin over Sam Hafertepe, Jr who completes the top five. Incidentally, the pair finished fourth and fifth at the I-30 Speedway on April 12 and each have a single National Tour win at the I-30 Speedway.

Aaron Reutzel holds sixth with Tony Bruce, Jr. seventh. Seth Bergman is eighth with Blake Hahn moving up one to ninth over the weekend. Matt Covington currently rounds out the top ten in ASCS National standings.
