The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series 2012 schedule may be the most elite and top paying short track schedules in the entire country. Out of the 45 dates on the tentative schedule already released, over ten of them have purses paying $20,000 to win, or more. Twelve dates, to be exact, have winner’s shares equaling $20,000 or more; including The Dirt Track World Championship ($50,000 to win), and the Sunoco Race Fuels North/South 100 in Union, Kentucky ($50,000 to win).
Other big paying races on the 2012 tentative schedule include the COMP Cams Topless 100 in Batesville, Arkansas paying $40,000 to winner, and the DART Show-Me 100 hosted at the beautiful, state-of-the-art, Lucas Oil Speedway. It is worth $30,000 to the winner. Jimmy Owens was the 2011 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Champion.
