MYERSTOWN, Pa. (September 3, 2019) – Brent Marks’ recent three-race stay in The Evergreen State was accompanied by success, eventually highlighting his weekend with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series with a top-ten performance at Skagit Speedway in Burlington, Washington, on Saturday, August 31.
Crossing under the final checkers sixth in the running order, the product of short charge from row four, the result bumped Marks’ top-ten count to 17 on the season. The third-year traveler with the Greatest Show On Dirt is currently tenth in the Series standings.
In addition, Marks kicked off his Skagit Speedway visit with a 12th place finish on Friday, August 30, eventually capping his weekend in the Pacific Northwest with a 13th place outing at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington, on Monday, September 2.
“We really enjoy visiting the West Coast. We didn’t end the weekend like we wanted to, but my guys work hard and I appreciate their efforts. We’ll be ready for Willamette on Wednesday,” Brent Marks expressed, who got upside-down during preliminary action at Grays Harbor before recovering for his 13th place feature finish. “It’s certainly not easy out here. We are racing with the best in the business. Every spot gained is big.”
Brent Marks will continue his 2019 World of Outlaws campaign with three races in four days, first visiting Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, Oregon, on Wednesday, September 4. The long weekend will conclude with the two-day Gold Cup at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California, on Friday and Saturday, September 6 & 7.
