Mike Reft Finishes Fifth During 2013 Debut at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway
Will Compete in Crate Late Model Division During Entire Season

Pittsburgh, PA (April 13th, 2013) – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s Mike Reft was finally able to make his 2013 racing debut earlier today, Sat., April 13th; and did so by finishing inside the top five at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania. Reft made his season debut during Pennsylvania Motor Speedway’s ‘Blast Off’ opening day program; which featured all of the speedway’s weekly divisions for a regular ‘weekly’ program.
Reft, who has been a regular in crate late model competition at ‘PPMS’ for the past few seasons, piloted his McGervey Electric, Advanced Auto Parts, Bobby’s Lounge, no. 9R crate late model from an eighth (8th) place starting position, to a fifth (5th) place finish on Saturday afternoon, April 13th, during the RUSH/crate late model main event. The driver of the familiar ‘9R’ started his afternoon at ‘PPMS’ by finishing second during his respective heat race. There were twenty-two (22) RUSH/crate late models signed in for action earlier this afternoon at ‘Dirt’s Monster Half Mile’ for the 2PM program. Kyle Lukon was the main event winner; followed by Ringgold, Pennsylvania’s Joe Martin.
Mike Reft will be back in action next Saturday afternoon, April 20th, at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial. The April 20th program will be a ‘regular show,’ and will also utilize the 2PM starting time. Although ‘PPMS’ may act as Mike Reft’s primary destination during most circumstances, the pilot of the ‘9R’ still plans to do some traveling in 2013; picking out select weekends to hit and miss RUSH and FASTRAK Northeast events.
