‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ On Deck for Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing
Nine Straight Days of Competition at Eight Ohio Tracks

Pittsburgh, PA (June 16th, 2015) – The 2015 season will officially hit ‘high gear’ for Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing this Friday evening, June 19th as another edition of ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ is set to ignite in the ‘Buckeye State.’ The 33rd edition of speedweek will feature nine straight days of All Star Circuit of Champions competition at eight different Ohio facilities between June 19th and June 27th; highlighted with the $10,000-to-win finale at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio on Saturday, June 27th. Danny Holtgraver will enter the nine day stretch eighth in the current All Star Circuit of Champions standings; earning four top-five and seven top-ten finishes during the first few months of competition. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native will hunt for his first victory of 2015, and his first victory with Phoenix Racing, next week during ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek.’
“Speedweek is circled on my calendar every year” said Holtgraver, “We look forward to being a part of it…it will give our team a great opportunity to make up for a tough season so far…we’ve been struggling this year so we want to use speedweek as a way to bounce back a little bit…it’s going to be tough…some of the best in the business will be signed in every single night so we’ll need to be prepared mentally as well as mechanically…we’re excited for sure.”
After initiating the nine day venture at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, June 19th, the 33rd Annual ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ schedule will move ahead to the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Saturday, June 20th, followed by a Sunday night visit to the Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio on June 21st.
The Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio will host ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ on Monday, June 22nd, with Hartford, Ohio’s Sharon Speedway welcoming Ohio travelers on Tuesday, June 23rd. The series will move on to the Atomic Speedway near Chillicothe, Ohio on Wednesday, June 24th, with Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio hosting their first of two speedweek programs on Thursday, June 25th.
The Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio will host action on Friday evening, June 26th, followed by the $10,000-to-win grand finale on Saturday, June 27th back at the Fremont Speedway. In addition, a $25,000 bonus, thanks to Cometic Gasket, Inc., will be awarded to any driver who can earn at least five victories over the course of the week. A $3,000 point fund will also be up for grabs at the conclusion of speedweek.
“It’s a great tradition” said Holtgraver, “I want to thank Tom and Sherry Leidig again for the great opportunity and for allowing this team to take part in the speedweek tradition again this year…we have a lot of potential…sometimes we get frustrated, but we have to put that all behind us and keep moving forward…we’re going to work as hard as we can to get the ‘59’ up front.”
