T.J. Michael ‘Hard Charges’ at Fremont; Ohio Speedweek On Deck!
Moves Ahead Eight Positions at Fremont on June 13th

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

Fremont, Ohio (June 15th, 2015) – After losing Friday night plans at Attica Raceway Park to Mother Nature, and losing Saturday plans to venture east to Mercer Raceway Park also to Mother Nature, T.J. Michael made a routine visit to the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio on Saturday, June 13th; joining the highly competitive Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) ‘410’ Championship Series for another round of competition. Michael, a recent F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series main event winner and ‘410’ sprint car rookie, finished 11th during the 30-lap, $2,500-to-win F.A.S.T. main event at Fremont. The Plano, Texas native ‘hard-charged’ his way to 11th after starting 19th; earning the evening’s ‘Hard Charger’ award.

“We were pretty good on Saturday” said T.J. Michael, “Some things went our way and we kept ourselves out of trouble and moved forward…I think we were better than 11th…had some brake issues and that made things pretty difficult on my end…regardless, we were pretty happy with how things went…we still have some work to do…we’ll get plenty of track time next week.”

Up next on the schedule, T.J. Michael, pilot of the Advanced Cast Stone, Kear’s Speed Shop, Snap-On, Fremont Fence Company, no. 8M ‘410’ sprint car, will join some of the nation’s elite for potentially nine straight days beginning this Friday evening, June 19th. The annual ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ will officially take flight at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio this Friday evening; initiating nine straight All Star Circuit of Champions events at eight different Ohio tracks between June 19th and June 27th. T.J. Michael plans to take part in most of the ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ stops, with the exception of Eldora Speedway on Saturday, June 20th. ‘The Texas Traveler’ will use the week of competition to help boost his ‘rookie’ experience level.

“We plan to race at all of the speedweek shows except Eldora” said Michael, “I’m not sure we are ready yet for a place like Eldora Speedway, but I hope to be at all of the other stops during the week…we’ve been improving…I am getting more and more confident in the car and that goes a long way…hopefully we can earn some solid finishes during speedweek and build some extra confidence.”

Michael’s potential ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ schedule will include Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio on Friday, June 19th; the Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio on Sunday, June 21st; the Wayne County Speedway near Orrville, Ohio on Monday, June 22nd; Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio on Tuesday, June 23rd; Atomic Speedway near Chillicothe, Ohio on Wednesday, June 24th; Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio on Thursday, June 25th; Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio on Friday, June 26th; and back at the Fremont Speedway on Saturday, June 27th.

“A lot of racing planned but it’s exciting” said Michael, “We’ll take one day at a time and learn as much as we can…our goal is to improve every time we hit the track.”

T.J. Michael has three victories thus far in 2015, with all three occurring during ‘305’ sprint car competition. ‘The Texas Traveler’ is still searching for that career-first ‘410’ main event win.
