Midwest Swing with Outlaws Proves Beneficial for Brent Marks
Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway On Tap

Myerstown, PA (June 15th, 2015) – After spending three consecutive days on the road with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in Iowa and South Dakota, Brent Marks would return home to central Pennsylvania with more experience and even more confidence. Marks competed with ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ in three consecutive events on June 12th – 14th; qualifying for each $10,000-to-win A-main through his respective heat race.
The ‘19M’ operation kicked things off with action at the Crawford County Speedway near Denison, Iowa on Friday, June 12th. The ‘Myerstown Missile’ finished 15th with the ‘Outlaws’ in Denison, followed by a 14th place finish in a fog-shortened A-main at the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa on Saturday, June 13th. Brent Marks capped off his weekend with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series with a 13th place performance at the Huset’s Speedway near Brandon, South Dakota on Sunday, June 14th. The trip west proved to be more than beneficial for the ‘19M’ team, as they continue to prepare for longer ventures out on the road with the World of Outlaws.
“We definitely learned a lot” said Brent Marks, “We made the invert two out of three nights and qualified for every show through our heat race… we ran a ton of laps this weekend at tracks that we have little or no experience at…it was a huge confidence booster for our team…it showed us that we have the potential to be competitive at any place we decide to go…the trip was well worth it and we can’t wait to go back out on the road again.”
Brent Marks will return to competition this Friday and Saturday back in the heart of central Pennsylvania. The driver of the Brent Marks Racing, BAPS Auto Paint & Supplies, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Diamond Toyota, Russell Heller Builders, no. 19M will make visits to the Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway during the upcoming weekend; beginning with a regular program at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday, June 19th.
The Lincoln Speedway will host ‘BAPS Night’ on Saturday, June 20th. Brent Marks Racing will join the top-notch weekly field of ‘410’ sprinters at the Abbottstown oval on Saturday night with the intent to help promote BAPS and their services. BAPS Auto Paint & Supplies is a major marketing partner of the ‘19M’ team.
The pair of central Pennsylvania events during the upcoming weekend will also help Marks dial-in for the upcoming ‘Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek’ which is set to ignite on Friday, June 26th. The 25th edition of speedweek will feature nine events in ten days across Pennsylvania and northern Maryland.
