Satterlee Will Join WoO During ‘Great Northern Tour’ & ‘Firecracker 100!’
Seven Nights of Action Over Ten Days for ‘The Truth’

Indiana, PA (June 15th, 2015) – After spending the most recent weekend away from the racing circuit, Gregg Satterlee will hit the road once again in 2015 for one of his busiest stretches of the year thus far. Satterlee, driver of the familiar Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, Keyser Manufacturing, Valvoline, no. 22, super late model, will enter seven events during a ten day time span beginning this Thursday, June 18th; joining the World of Outlaws Late Model Series for each of the seven scheduled programs. ‘The Truth’ will travel with the national series during their annual ‘Great Northern Tour’ in New York and Canada before eventually spending three days at the Lernerville Speedway for the ‘Firecracker 100’ weekend.
“Pretty big road trip coming up but we’ll be ready for it” said Satterlee, “This will be our first time heading north this year…not a ton of experience in that area but hopefully we can adjust pretty quickly…racing a high volume like this will keep us on our toes for sure.”
The World of Outlaws Late Model Series ‘Great Northern Tour’ will kick-off on Thursday evening, June 18th at the Fonda Speedway in Fonda, New York. Satterlee will use Friday, June 19th as a travel day before returning to World of Outlaws competition on Saturday, June 20th. ‘The Truth’ will travel north of the border for the first time in 2015; entering competition on June 20th at the Brighton Speedway in Brighton, Ontario, Canada. The Rochester Mills, Pennsylvania native will join the WoO for a second-consecutive Canadian event on Sunday, June 21st at the Cornwall Motor Speedway in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. The ‘Great Northern Tour’ will conclude on Tuesday evening, June 23rd back on American soil at the Weedsport Speedway in Weedsport, New York.
“We won’t be able to return to the shop during the the trip north so we’ll need to be prepared” said Satterlee, “Racing a long stretch like this can do a lot for a team’s momentum…it can either be a huge benefit, or it can hurt you…we want to have a solid trip before heading home to Lernerville.”
Gregg Satterlee will conclude his ten day stretch with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series at the familiar Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The annual ‘Firecracker 100’ weekend will headline ‘The Action Track’ on Thursday through Saturday, June 25th-27th, complete with two preliminary programs on Thursday and Friday, and the $30,000-to-win finale on Saturday, June 27th. Satterlee, a multi-time ‘Fab Four’ main event winner at the Lernerville Speedway, lives just under an hour from the Sarver oval; making the ‘Firecracker 100’ the closest ‘crown jewel’ event of his 2015 campaign. ‘The Truth,’ a three-time World of Outlaws Late Model Series main event winner during his career, will work to win in front of his home fans for the first time in 2015 next Thursday through Saturday, as well as earn the healthy five-digit payday.
“The Firecracker is probably my favorite event of the year” said Satterlee, “We race really close to home and that gives friends and family an opportunity to come hang out and watch us race for a few days…despite the experience I have at Lernerville, I’ve never had a ton of luck at this event…we hope to change that next weekend.”
During recent super late model competition, Gregg Satterlee entered the 21st Annual ‘Dirt Late Model Dream’ at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Satterlee qualified for the 100-lap, $100,000-to-win main event on Saturday, June 6th; finishing 16th officially after starting 27th. The former ‘World 100’ top-ten finisher qualified for the 2015 ‘Dirt Late Model Dream’ main event by transferring through the first of two B-mains.
