T.J. Michael Will Join All Stars at Jim Ford Classic
$10,000 On The Line Saturday, September 19

Plano, Texas (September 16, 2015) – The “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael will join the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions this Friday and Saturday for back-to-back programs in northwestern Ohio. Michael, a Plano, Texas native who commutes to the “Buckeye State” during his school months, will join the UNOH All Stars at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, set to take part in the “Jim Ford Classic” on Friday and Saturday, September 18-19. The “410” division rookie has been a regular competitor at the Fremont oval in 2015 and hopes to upset the UNOH All Star invaders for a five digit payday. The “Jim Ford Classic” weekend will feature a $3,000-to-win main event on Friday, followed by the $10,000 finale on Saturday.
“This is one of the biggest weekends of the year in that area” said T.J. Michael, “We’ve been performing a lot better this second half of the year. Things were pretty tough there for us at the beginning of the season but we kept moving forward. We don’t let much bother us. Just gotta keep working hard and good things will come. We’ll race hard this weekend and try to get ourselves up front.”
Despite still winless during 410 sprint car competition, T.J. Michael has been competitive; racking up nearly ten consecutive top-ten finishes at a variety of Ohio ovals. The high school senior has finished as high as second during his recent hot stretch, once at the Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio, and once at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio. Michael also owns three 305 sprint car victories in 2015; one in his home state of Texas and two in Ohio.
“I travel up there to race because the competition is some of the best in the country” said T.J. Michael, “Racing with those guys around Attica and Fremont will only make you better. We’ve been close a few times this year. I hope to get that first ‘410’ win soon.”
