The 8th Annual Fall Classic at the NDRL’s McKean County Raceway Set for September, 19-20-21
East Smethport, PA (August 1, 2013) The NDRL’s McKean County Raceway will continue the ‘Fall Classic’ tradition with a full three day weekend of ground-pounding action on September 19-20-21 at the East Smethport, PA oval. The 8th Annual edition of the ‘Fall Classic’ will feature some of the region’s best drivers in seven different racing divisions.
The action kicks off on Thursday, September 19 with two sets of time trials for the NDRL’s ULMS Super Late Models and the Sweeney Chevrolet/Buick/GMC RUSH Dirt late Model Series. The two separate sets of time trials will set the field for Friday and Saturday’s events. An extra $250 is up for grabs to the fast qualifiers in each set of ULMS time trials while an extra $150 will go to each fast qualifier with the RUSH late models. Also on tap is the 360 Late Models as they compete for $750 to-win and a guaranteed spot in Friday night’s main event. The Close Racing Supply street stocks will race for $300 to-win, mini-stocks $250 to-win, and the pure stocks will vow for a $200 prize.
MCR will heat up on Friday, September 20 with a $3,000 to-win feature event for the ULMS Super Late Models, a $1,200 to-win event for the RUSH Late Model touring series, and a $1,000 to-win 360 Late Model event. The NDRL’s UEMS Modifieds will go after a $750 winner’s check while the Close Racing Supplies street stocks, mini-stocks, and pure stocks will race in a feature’s only format.
On Saturday, September 21, the stars and cars of the 8th Annual Fall Classic will conclude the weekend with a $7,500 to-win ‘RaceFAN 50’ for the ULMS Super Late Models, a $2,000 to-win 30 lap main event for the RUSH Late Model touring series, and a whopping 50 lap, $5,000 to-win feature event for the UEMS Modifieds. The Close Racing Supply street stocks, mini-stocks, and pure stocks will also be in action for the third night in a row with their feature’s only format.
Other festivities throughout the weekend include a Friday morning ULMS vs. UEMS Kickball tournament where the stars of the ULMS and UEMS series’ will face-off in a classic game of Kickball for nothing but family fun and most importantly, bragging rights. An after race party on Friday night will entertain fans of all ages, more details about the after race party will be released soon.
Also returning for the Fall Classic is the ‘Ultimate Race Fan Deal’ that is most certainly the best ticket of the weekend. Race fans can purchase the ‘Ultimate Race Fan Deal’ that includes two general admission tickets for all three days, two event t-shirts with their name on the back, ten tickets for the $1,500 VISA Gift Card drawing, and a catered lunch for two at the track on Saturday, for $110 for adults and $100 for seniors. The ‘Ultimate Race Fan Deal’ can also be upgraded to include reserved seating and pit passes.
