FREMONT, Ohio (April 1, 2019) – With action at Attica Raceway Park getting the boot due to Mother Nature’s inability to cooperate, the ‘Texas Traveler’ T.J. Michael made his way east from his Fremont, Ohio-based race shop to the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa., on Saturday, March 30.
Although last minute, the near-seven hour trip across much of Ohio and Pennsylvania proved to be well-worth the effort, as Michael was able to ‘shake-down’ his race team before an action-packed triple-header in the Buckeye State on Friday through Sunday, April 5-7.
“It was a fun trip. Traveling to Lincoln gave us an opportunity to race. The way the weather has been in Ohio, it’s tough to tell when we’ll get a chance to compete,” Michael said, driver of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Architectural Stone/Crown Battery/Fremont Fence Company/Pro-Tech Services/Wood Heating and Air Conditioning/Soul Fully Rooted/Big D’s Pizza/No. 8M sprint car. “It’s a whole different world in Central Pennsylvania, but I can’t think of a better place to knock the rust off before things really get crazy.”
Michael finished 18th during his 2019 season debut, qualifying for main event competition with a victory during the evening’s consolation event.
T.J. Michael will continue his 2019 campaign with an Ohio three-pack during the upcoming weekend, first visiting the home of ‘Ohio’s Finest Racing’ – Attica Raceway Park – on Friday, April 5.
The Plano, Texas, native will continue his three-race stretch with a pair of FAST Series starts at Atomic Speedway and Waynesfield Raceway Park on Saturday and Sunday, April 6 & 7, respectively. Saturday’s FAST event will award a $3,000 payday, while Sunday’s will award a $4,000 payday.
