Brent Marks Earns First Win of 2015 and Four Top-Tens During Labor Day Weekend
“Tuscarora 50” Weekend Next for Myerstown Missile

Myerstown, PA (September 8, 2015) – Brent Marks had to wait much longer than anticipated to earn his first victory of the 2015 season, but now the wait is over. Marks, driver of the Brent Marks Racing, BAPS Auto Paint & Supplies, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Diamond Toyota, Russell Heller Builders, #19M, earned his first win of the year on Monday afternoon, September 7, at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania; capturing the 64th annual “Labor Day Classic” worth $4,000. A last lap pass over Dylan Cisney and Aaron Ott would seal his place on the victory lane stage. Marks started the 25-lap main event seventh on the grid.
“This feels incredible” said Brent Marks, “We’ve been working for this all season long, so to finally accomplish a win means a lot. This team has been working non-stop all season. We have a lot of great sponsors and supporters who stuck behind us all summer. This win is definitely for them. We had to wait a little longer than we wanted to get this one, but I am just happy we finally pulled it off.”
Marks earned four top-ten finishes during his four-race Labor Day weekend swing in central Pennsylvania. The “Myerstown Missile” entered two events at the Williams Grove Speedway and two events at Port Royal Speedway. A fifth place finish during the “Jack Gunn Memorial” at Williams Grove Speedway would kick-off the holiday weekend on Friday evening, September 4, followed by another fifth place finish on Saturday evening, September 5, during the “410” sprint car portion of the Butch Renninger Memorial at Port Royal Speedway. Marks would return to “The Grove” on Sunday evening, September 6, for the “Billy Kimmel Memorial.” The Myerstown, Pennsylvania native finished ninth during the 25-lap main event, all before earning his fourth consecutive top-ten finish of the weekend with a win on Monday afternoon at Port Royal Speedway.
Brent Marks will spend very little time celebrating, as competition is set to continue for Brent Marks Racing this Friday and Saturday back at the “Speed Palace” at Port Royal Speedway. Marks will join the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions for the 48th annual “Tuscarora 50” weekend on Friday, September 11, and Saturday, September 12; featuring back-to-back programs awarding $5,000 on Friday and a minimum of $12,000 on Saturday.
“We have a big weekend ahead so we won’t have an opportunity to celebrate much” said Marks, “Always excited to be a part of the Tuscarora 50 at Port Royal. The All Stars will be in town and that definitely increases the level of competition. We have some positive momentum on our side now and that could play into a big advantage. Hopefully we can put ourselves in a good position all weekend and try for another win.”
