Brent Marks Ready for First Trip West of 2015 with World of Outlaws
Crawford County, Knoxville, Huset’s On Tap this Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Myerstown, PA (June 8th, 2015) – Brent Marks and Brent Marks Racing will make their first trip beyond ‘The Mississippi’ in 2015 during the upcoming weekend; set to join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series for a trio of events in Iowa and South Dakota. Marks, pilot of the familiar BAPS Auto Paint & Supplies, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Diamond Toyota, Russell Heller Builders, no. 19M, will make appearances with ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ at three different facilities in two different states this Friday through Sunday. The weekend will officially begin on Friday evening, June 12th with a first-ever visit to the Crawford County Speedway near Denison, Iowa.
“We’ll head out with the World of Outlaws this weekend…we are pretty excited for our first trip west” said Brent Marks, “This is a great opportunity for us to gain some extra exposure and learn as much as we can about racing on the road…we really enjoy racing at new tracks; especially with the World of Outlaws…they are the best in the world and racing with them will only help us improve.”
After their trip to the Crawford County Speedway on Friday, June 12th, Brent Marks will follow the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series to the legendary Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. The ‘Sprint Car Capital of the World’ will host the World of Outlaws for one night only on Saturday, June 13th. This will be the first time Brent Marks Racing has made an appearance at the Marion County Fairgrounds half-mile dirt oval since the 2014 Knoxville Nationals where Marks qualified for the Saturday night C-main.
“Hopefully our visit to Knoxville will play out as a big advantage for the future” said Brent Marks, “We are already looking forward to the Knoxville Nationals in August…our visit this Saturday will allow us to get a few laps under our belt, and hopefully find out a few things about the surface that will help us during the nationals.”
Brent Marks Racing will conclude their midwest swing with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Sunday, June 14th at the Huset’s Speedway near Brandon, South Dakota. Like the Crawford County Speedway, the Sunday night visit to Huset’s will be a career first for the ‘Myerstown Missile.’
“Huset’s Speedway looks like a lot of fun” said Marks, “It’s a track that has a lot of history and is constantly publicized…hopefully the weekend goes smooth and we can end our trip with a high note on Sunday…I just want to take the time to thank all of our sponsors and everyone involved…we have a large number of sponsors that have been loyal to us for a long time…they support everything this team does and that is really special…we also have a group of guys that dedicate all of their free time towards this race team…their hard work in the shop is unseen by most people but I appreciate everything…it’s been a blast so far.”
Brent Marks will enter his World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series venture with a top-ten finish to his credit during the recent weekend. Marks finished 8th during feature competition at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday, June 5th. The Myerstown, Pennsylvania native finished 19th during the $7,000-to-win ‘Dirt Classic Qualifier’ at the Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, June 6th.
“We struggled on Friday and Saturday” said Brent Marks, “We had a pretty tough weekend…we’ve been pretty successful this year on most weekends so we’ll shake this one off and head west with a good attitude.”
