Satterlee Will Use Port Royal Win as ‘Dream Boost!’
‘Dirt Late Model Dream’ Begins Later This Evening at Eldora Speedway

Indiana, PA (June 4th, 2015) – The 21st edition of the ‘Dirt Late Model Dream’ at Eldora Speedway is set to ignite later this evening, Thursday, June 4th, with the first of three full evenings of super late model competition. The best dirt late model drivers in the country will converge in Rossburg, Ohio over the next three days for a shot at the $100,000 grand prize. Gregg Satterlee will join the ‘best of the best’ once again at ‘The Big E’ and attempt to earn his way into the prestigious 100-lap main event for a third consecutive year. The former ‘World 100’ top-ten performer finished fourteenth during the ‘Dirt Late Model Dream’ in 2014.
“Always exciting to get back to Eldora” said Gregg Satterlee, “The atmosphere is just incredible and the place is absolutely packed…the format will really make things interesting this year…every night counts…if you want to put yourself in a good heat race position on Saturday, and ultimately make the 100 lapper, you pretty much have to nail both of the preliminary nights…we’ve been improving at Eldora…had a pretty good weekend at the ‘World 100’ last year and was running really well at the ‘Dream’ last June until we had some tire issues…hopefully we can put ourselves in a good heat race position on Saturday and get into the big show.”
Gregg Satterlee will enter the weekend with a recent heavy boost of momentum. ‘The Truth’ visited victory lane during his most recent start; earning an Appalachian Mountain Dirt Late Model Speedweek Series victory at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania on Saturday, May 30th. The $4,000 win at the Port Royal half-mile was Satterlee’s third victory of the 2015 season; also earning victories at the Hagerstown (MD) Speedway and Bedford Fairgrounds (PA) Speedway. The Rochester Mills, Pennsylvania native hopes to take advantage of his recent momentum boost and cash in for a career-high six-digit payday.
“We’ll see what happens” said Satterlee, “We have some momentum on our side heading into the weekend but that can only go so far…we’ll have to be sharp every time we hit the track…you’re racing with the best there is during the entire weekend and you can’t make mistakes…I’m excited to get there and get started.”
